Sr. Database Engineer (Hybrid ATL) - Direct Hire | Open

ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Cloud Database Administrator to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Oracle Cloud databases. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), database security, performance tuning, and high availability solutions. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic global environment.

 

KEY CLIENT NOTES

  • Salary 140-150k + bonus
  • Hybrid, 3 days in the midtown office with the schedule being flexible
  • Strong Oracle DBA experience
  • Expertise in OCI, database security, performance tuning, and high availability solutions
  • Excellent communication skills

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Core Oracle Skills:
  • 8 Years of  experience working as Oracle Database Administration (DBA) including EXACS, DBCS, ATP and physical VM installs
  • 8 Years of  experience Oracle PL/SQL, as well as ANSI SQL
  • 8 Years of  experience Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
  • 8 Years of  experience Oracle Data Guard
  • 8 Years of  experience Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
  • 8 Years of  experience Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • 8 Years of  experience Oracle Database Performance Tuning
  • 8 Years of  experience Oracle Backup and Recovery (RMAN)
  • 8 Years of  experience Oracle Autonomous Database – configuration and management
  • 5 Years of experience installing, configuring and running Oracle EBS 12.X
  • 3 Years of hands on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

 

  • General RDBMS Skills:
  • SQL Programming
  • Database Design and Modeling
  • Database Security and Auditing
  • Database Backup and Recovery
  • Database encryption
  • Query Optimization
  • Stored Procedures and Triggers
  • Database Replication
  • Data Warehousing
  • Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) Processes
  • Database Migration and Upgrades

 

  • Other Relevant Skills:
  • Linux/Unix Administration
  • Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts for database automation, monitoring, and maintenance using SQL, PL/SQL, Python, or Shell scripting
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools ( GITHUB ), Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • Working Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Networking, IAM, and security best practices
  • Programming Languages (Python, PL/SQL, SQL, etc.)
  • Database Services  (Azure)
  • Database Migration Experience from Oracle to either modern cloud databases and/or Open databases like PostgreSQL
  • Certifications (Preferred): Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – Oracle Cloud Database Administrator, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate/Professional
