ROLE

ROLE

ROLE

ROLE

As the VP of Financial Services Engineering, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team to reimagine the financial technology and operations for our Client’s global financial technology teams and platforms.  This includes technical integration of financial systems across geographies, including the streamlining of quote/invoice/payment processes, management of subscriptions and entitlements, automation of accounting and financial close cycles, and other related processes.  A deep technical understanding of accounting and financial practices for supply-chain-oriented businesses is also important to the role of driving modernization and transformation. 

Ideal candidates will bring a very modern approach to automation, including the use of AI to simplify key processes and overhead; and experience leveraging APIs and other technical integration approaches to reduce friction between disparate technologies and platforms.

  • System Management & Integration: Manage and lead the integration of global financial systems, including both legacy and modern Oracle ERP products.  Ensure seamless connectivity and reliable delivery of data, which will require experience and deep technical understanding in the use of API’s, ELT/ETL and other data integration approaches.   This includes integration of general ledgers, data warehouses, taxation systems, payment gateways, and more to streamline key processes, such as financial period close and reconciliation.
  • Automation: Drive the implementation of automated tools and processes to streamline accounting and back office operations, and drive efficiency.  Experience in automating data collection and analysis, robotic process automation(RPA) and use of AI and machine learning in financial operations will receive the strongest consideration.  
  • Quote and Order Management:  Manage and optimize current quote to payment processes and operations to achieve efficiency and improve the lifecycle of subscriptions, customer entitlements, invoicing and payments.  Experience with order management solutions like Zuora, or similar solutions will be strongly considered.
  • Cloud Migration: Oversee the migration of legacy on-premise Oracle modules to Oracle’s Cloud Platform (OCI), as well as Oracle’s SaaS products and platforms, with a goal of achieving 100% cloud-based hosting of financial solutions. Experience with Azure cloud technologies is a plus, but not a requirement for the role.
  • Business Relations & Support: Manage and support relationships with business teams, translating technical capabilities into business process improvements.  Leverage self-service approaches to enable key business functions without the need to engage technical resources for the majority of routine administrative actions.
  • Agile Project Management: Create an agile operating model across the team that will optimize the engagement of the technical team, speed time to market for new modules and capabilities, and align to strategic roadmaps for each platform and product.  
  • Innovation:  The use of AI in any form to augment and streamline manual accounting and finance processes, as well as achieving compliance objectives, will receive very strong consideration in this role.  Experience with more traditional AI modeling as well as newer generative AI-based approaches is ideal, but not a firm requirement.
  • Leadership:  Manage and mentor a diverse, global team of product owners, software engineers, financial experts and technical business analysts, developing career paths, growth opportunities, and identifying key candidates for future leadership roles in the organization.
