ROLE

Our Client is looking for an experienced Scrum Master with strong experience leading software development teams. The Scrum Master is a critical role leading a high-performing software engineering team – helping to deliver diverse, complex, cross-functional, technical solutions. The ideal candidate for this position will have several years of team leadership experience within the Agile Framework. Must be able to work with our Client’s business stakeholders to create and manage development backlog if needed.

The Scrum Master will manage all phases of the software development life-cycle, ensuring success and adherence to a high standard of quality for our team – which is responsible for the development, testing, and deployment of software for a critical platform, ensuring that the end-to-end delivery of technology solutions are thoughtfully organized, architected, monitored, and measured.

Responsibilities include:

• Assume the scrum master role for high-performing cross-functional delivery teams of 10-15 immediate members each
• Help the client or customer Product Owner to be successful by helping to manage the backlog as needed
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders across a variety of disciplines to drive the execution of technology solutions, from inception to launch
• Work with the Product team and Technology leaders to define release goals and plans that map to technology objectives and their related dependencies
• Routinely communicate program status and project health to product owners and other stakeholders as needed
• Drive all aspects of a highly disciplined implementation of the Agile framework for one or more teams within the technology organization of our clients
• Identify and manage dependencies and resolve conflicts or impediments
• Create dashboards and report on team performance metrics
• Support continuous process improvement and innovation
• Promote and support company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

KEY CLIENT NOTES

• Pay range: $50-$60/hour
• Contract period – March through the end of 2024, with possible extension
• The role focuses on web/mobile work for a couple of expanding projects
• 5-7 years of Scrum Master experience working on large and diverse teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Technical background is key – web, mobile, QA, cloud, & etc

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years managing the delivery of cross-functional initiatives across an enterprise
• 5+ years managing technical projects 
• Demonstrated experience in driving development and delivery within an Agile Scrum Framework
• Scrum Master certifications – PLUS
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are a MUST – candidates for this role must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders – both orally and written – and be able to describe organization methods for success.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently, and to perform concurrent tasks that require technical and functional competence
